U.S. Trek
Since August eight trekkers have been on a journey across the United States to engage students in the stories of U.S. history. Reporting to students and teachers via the Internet twice a week, the trekkers visit historic and cultural sites and interview people along the trail who are working to make their communities better. Virtual trekkers can participate via live chats, e-mail, polls and discussion boards.
The site is jam-packed with places to go so it may be helpful to read the orientation first.
