International Space Settlement Design Competition

Building a city is not an easy task, but can you imagine building a town on the moon? That's exactly what participants in the International Space Settlement Design Competition attempt to do. Each high school team represents an aerospace company, submitting their design for a city of the future built on Earth's moon.

In the first phase of the competition, participants submit their proposals via the Internet. Eight teams are then selected as finalists to compete at the Kennedy Space Center.

Participants in the final competition come from all over the U.S. and the world. View a list of past finalists and see what people have said about the competition.
