HomeworkSpot > Alphabet

Alphabet

Learning your ABCs is the first step on the way becoming a good reader, but it’s not always as easy as 1-2-3. Here at HomeworkSpot our editors have found some fun sites that teach kids the basics of identifying letters, associating letters with words, and even spelling. And the best part is these sites are so fun and interactive that they don’t feel like work.

  • Printable Alphabet Coloring Pages
Just click on any of the pages, from A (apple) to Z (zebra). Print it out, grab some markers, and let your artistic side shine.

  • Alphabet Game
Click on any of the letters to play a virtual game that teaches children to associate letters with certain words or images.

  • Learning Planet Alphabet Action
Click on a letter to see a relevant word and picture. If you click the blue plus-sign that comes along with some of the letters, you can see another word and picture associated with the letter.

  • Kindergarten + Alphabet
A lengthy list of links to interactive alphabet games (you need Shockwave for many of them). Try Type Me and Alphabet Bears at Paw Park.

  • Billy Bear’s Alphabet Game
Interactive games like picking the picture that starts with each letter, typing letters that you see, and typing the missing letters from each word.
