Endangered Species
An endangered species is any plant or animal that may soon die out or become extinct. Every year, thousands of species become endangered all over the world because of loss of habitat, overhunting and competition with other plants and animals for food. In the United States alone, animals like the red wolf, California condor and American crocodile have lost their homes and are in danger of extinction. Check out these sites to find out more about why species become endangered and how you can help protect them.
