The Newbery Medal Winners

The Newbery Medal was named for 18th century British bookseller John Newbery. The Association for Library Service to Children presents this award annually to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. The 2007 Newbery Medal winner is "The Higher Power of Lucky" by Susan Patron.
